On the Perch with Krista Simpson Anderson

Sitting down with one of my mentors, Krista Simpson Anderson, I learned so much about the needs and challenges of our military and veterans' community. We framed veterans policy with a focus developed through the metaphor of a tree, showing growth and strength and this helped us to consider values of primacy such as like assisting survivors, healthy integration between programs and identifying public polices that can contribute more fully to this important community. Krista's advocacy, in its origins of experience and leadership, carries significant influence on veterans policy, primarily through activities for The Unquiet Professional, Brave Group, and serving in several advisory positions. She emphasizes readiness, support for families, and policy effect in the long term. Above all, her devotion and compassion are the ingredients I realized are the most valuable as she gives to military families and veterans. A true American hero 🇺🇸 ⭐️ ❤️
